Reads like stereo instructions. No really I thought it was a replica of the movie prop. It’s not a hardback, but a soft jacket copy that doesn’t resemble the texture of the original.

When I saw that it was blank I was under the impression that it was actually blank but it's not, it's lined. I had wanted to use it as a sketchbook and now will be unable to do so. Other than that it's a nice enough book. I wouldn't say it's been "painstakingly" reproduced prop but it will do for costume purposes. It's also one of the few that have the title on the spine which is nice.

When they said painstakingly I figured, sure you got a lot of the quotes from the book in there on the first few pages. Not just 2 and only one page. It is basically a journal which I knew, but why I got this one from other ones available was for the painstaking effort put into it which turns out not so much. The cover is great love it. May just keep it in a locked shadowbox for the ooooo factor.

BEETLEJUICE! BEETLEJUICE!! BEETLEJUICE!!! Came across this journal and had to buy it! Thick with plenty of pages! Adam Maitland's handbook instructions he reads aloud to Barbra are inscribed in the first few pages.( "In case of an emergency, draw a door"... ) My only wish was that it was offered in hard cover.

I have this book in my office. I love it! It also lets me know which clients are my favorite, if they know the significance of the book.

The only thing preventing a 5 star review was mostly my fault. I wanted the hardcover version and ordered this PAPERBACK by mistake. For what it is...its well worth the 6 dollars and change if you don't absolutely want the hardcover.

Not a prop that will actually fool anyone past 10 years old, but that said it does make a great notebook that has a unique cover that starts a few conversations. For the price it is worth getting it if you want a unique note book.

I got it for a gift for my sister. It is kind of a journal and I thought she would like the Beetlejuice connection. She did like it.
